Unlike most sod producers, we don’t roll ours up. We fold it in long strips, laid in a zig-zag stack. This allows crews to unfold it continuously instead of placing it in individual slabs. There’s less bending, lifting, and repositioning required. This saves hours of time—the bigger the lawn the more hours. It’s better for the grass too. And with three farms located across the Maritimes, we’re always close by, which means we can deliver your sod fast, anywhere you need it.
Fewer Seams
Because Maritime Quality Sod comes in continuous strips, you get a more uniform lawn right from the day it’s installed. Compared to using sod that’s stacked in small slabs, there aren't nearly as many seams or joints to butt against each other. With fewer edges that can dry out, the lawn appears more finished from the start, and takes less time to fill in.

By folding our sod in layers, we protect the grass and soil from wind and sun during transport. We think your sod should arrive hydrated, lush, and healthy. And this is a better way of ensuring that. Stacking slabs of sod on a pallet, exposed to the elements, just isn’t the best start for any lawn.
